About the Workshop:
The Web based LGBTQI curriculum, Creating a Welcoming and Affirming Environment, is available online. This 2.5 hour training was developed by people with lived mental health experience who are part of the LGBTQI community. CEU’s can be obtained from Drexel University, Behavioral Healthcare Education for $25.00 by calling 215-831-4055. Upon receipt of payment, a post-test will be provided followed by issuance of the CE certificate.

About Tuition Reimbursement:
The Diversity Partnership Grant and the NEPA Rainbow Alliance (GayNEPA.com) will reimburse the cost of the $25 per person CEU credits as part of our project identifying LGBT-supportive counselors, providing that the counselor and agency agree to be listed as a resource in our LGBT Safe Zone Directory.

For Schools:
For schools wishing to send guidance counselors or teachers to this training (for Act 48 Credits), please contact John Dawe at 570-763-9876 or john@gaynepa.com.  Separate program funds are available for this use.

Guidelines:

1. Reimbursement is valid for any licensed counselor (including social workers, psychologists, etc.) in or within close proximity to Lackawanna, Luzerne and Wyoming Counties.
2. Individual Counselors and For-Profit Counseling Groups ARE ELIGIBLE.
3. Nonprofit agencies who employ counselors are eligible.
4. Agencies and Counseling Groups may submit reimbursement for up to four (4) individuals.

Instructions:

1. Check http://gaynepa.com/pmhca-training to ensure reimbursement slots still exist.
2. Each registrant should e-mail john@gaynepa.com with the name(s) and the number of employees (up to 4 per agency/group) being sent for reimbursement so that funds may be reserved.
   (For agencies and groups, please have one person submit for all registrants.)
3. Proof of completion and reimbursement form (attached) must be postmarked by December 24, 2011.

Additional Information:

Reimbursement to employees of nonprofit agencies will be made to the nonprofit and not to the individual.  Agencies requesting reimbursement should submit their request as a bundle.
