NEPA Leathermen
The NEPA Leathermen is a gay men’s leather/bear club located in the northeastern region of Pennsylvania. While the city of Scranton acts as a central point for many gatherings, the club has members from all the surrounding cities and counties in the surrounding areas.
The NEPA Leathermen’s primary function is to act as a social club for gay men age twenty-one and over who have an active interest in the bear and leather lifestyle to provide a means of support, brotherhood and pride in who we are.
According to the NEPA Leathermen, “We are not a sex club! We provide a positive environment for men of similar interest to come together in a social setting which feature and promote our common interests.”
The NEPA Leathermen is governed by Articles of Organization and each month we have a formal meeting to discuss official business and make future plans for our club. Additionally, once a month a gathering at their home bar, The 12 Penny Saloon, usually the 3rd Saturday, open to all members and the public to attend. We are community-minded in our endeavors and help to raise funds for local AIDS service organizations in northeastern Pennsylvania.
